Brethren to dwell together in unity – The unity which comes from the in-dwelling of the Holy Spirit. This unity can be achieved only in the right way. see R768 |
| 2 It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments;

Precious ointment – The holy anointing oil, picturing the Holy Spirit.
Upon the head..Aaron – This anointing begins with our Lord at Jordan. Matt. 3:16
Down to the skirts of his garments – This anointing continues down to the skirts - the hem, the very lowest part of his garment. This indicates the anointing of the Holy Spirit that began with our Head Jesus, continues to the very last (feet) members of the body of Christ. |
